THEA CLEMONS
I’m a team worker who is curious to learn new things. I’m innovative, and I love experimenting with new software tools to conceptualise new philatelelic and digital products. I am experienced in DTP and working in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office. I’ve worked in Adobe software all my professional life.
In my current position my principal role is to design and accurately prepare postage stamps for security printing. Preparing stamps for print requires extreme accuracy to be in line with perforation die-lines and other security finishing tools. I conceptualise and art direct themes for new stamp artwork and I’m also responsible for doing the project planning for the design process and printing of each stamp. During this process I collaborate with various artists who are commissioned to create stamp artwork.
Corporate work for the South African Post Office, include the design of digital material such as social media banners, motion graphics and interactive PDF documents.
Examples of interactive PDFs are Annual Reports (230 pages), Corporate Plans, Magazines/Newsletters and interactive PDFs explaining new online services to clients, for example the online Motor Vehicle License Renewal process.
Post Office Corporate designs also include UI design for digital platforms in development, signage and point-of-sale material for post office branches, product launch programmes, and Microsoft Word and PowerPoint templates.
